The Fly JR is for kids learning to snowboard who fall on their hands - and at the start that is almost every fall. The Biomex protector sits on the underside of the palm and absorbs the impact from any direction; on the kids' model it is sized for a smaller wrist.

The outer fabric is water-repellent, the palm is reinforced against abrasion, and Membra-Therm Plus is a membrane between the lining and the outer layer - snow that melts on the outside does not reach the hand. Warmth rating 3000 - on Level's scale this is a warm glove that holds up to -17 °C.

The mitten cut is warmer and easier to put on for small hands. Suitable for ski school, the park and a full day on the slopes.

Size. Level kids' sizes go by age: I is for ages 2-3, II for 4-5, III for 5-6, IV for 7-8, V for 9-10, VI for 11-12. Age is only a guide; if your child has large hands, take the next size.

Not sure which size? Write to us or stop by our shop at Golo Bardo in Sofia - we have been riding this gear since 1997.
