Forest Bailey's board is a true twin with C3 and a camber dominant profile: soft but tough, with lots of pop for street, park, rails and buttering. Magne-Traction keeps control on hardpack and ice.
The GNU Head Space is a typical GNU freestyle model, built around the style and ideas of Forest Bailey. Forest is one of the snowboarders for whom the line between snowboard and skateboard culture practically disappears: street, park, groomed terrain and natural obstacles become one common playground.
The Head Space is a true twin with a C3 camber dominant profile and a flex of about 5-6/10. The board is relatively soft and flexible, but the camber keeps it lively, springy and full of pop.
The softer construction helps with buttering, on rails and when absorbing heavy landings or rough terrain in the park. At the same time Magne-Traction keeps control on hardpack and ice.
This is a real board for demanding freestyle snowboarders and skaters in the mountains: soft but tough; playful but not characterless.
Key specs: Forest Bailey; true twin; C3; centered stance (no setback); G Lite 2 Aspen / Paulownia; Carbon Power Bands; sintered base; Magne-Traction; park / street / freestyle.
We carry the 2024/25 generation: C3, a pill-shaped twin with a G Lite 2 core of Aspen and Paulownia, as in the text above, but without Carbon Power Bands; the fiberglass is triaxial/biaxial.

The size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist, profile and effective edge length together tell how a board will work. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful; a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm the boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for a bigger foot, so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
Not sure which size? Write to us or stop by our shop in Golo Bardo – we have been riding this stuff since 1997.
