The GNU Head Space is a typical GNU freestyle model, built around the style and ideas of Forest Bailey. Forest is one of those snowboarders for whom the line between snowboard and skateboard culture practically disappears - street, park, resort terrain and natural obstacles become one common playground.

The Head Space is a true twin with a camber-dominant C3 profile and a flex of around 5-6/10. The board is relatively soft and flexible, but the camber keeps it lively, springy and with lots of pop.

The softer construction helps with buttering, on rails and in absorbing heavy landings or chopped-up terrain in the park. At the same time, Magne-Traction keeps control on hardpack and ice.

This is a real board for demanding freestyle snowboarders and skaters in the mountains - soft but tough; playful, but not characterless.

Technical highlights: Forest Bailey; true twin; C3; centered stance (no setback); G Lite 2 Aspen / Paulownia core; Carbon Power Bands; sintered base; Magne-Traction; park / street / freestyle.

Sizes

Size	Contact length	Waist	Sidecut radius	Stance (min-max / setback)	Flex (1–10)	Rider weight
158 cm	117 cm	25.5 cm	8.3 m	51.5-63.5 / 0 cm	6	from 60 kg

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and effective edge length together decide how a board performs. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.

Not sure which size? Message us or stop by our shop in Golo Bardo, Sofia - we have been riding this stuff since 1997.
