The Lib Tech Cold Brew is one of the most sensible and best-selling models of the brand: a very good balance of price, quality Mervin materials and real versatility.
It is a directional C2 board with a longer nose and a shape that clearly helps off the piste, in trees and in deep snow. Even the standard sizes are a touch wider, close to the feel of a mid-wide board, which increases the surface area and helps in soft snow.
The Cold Brew is especially suited to people who are confident in their natural, standard direction of riding. This is not a board that chases absolute symmetry between regular riding and riding switch; it is for a rider who knows which is their lead foot and prefers to ride mainly in that direction.
Balance is its strength. You do not have to push it all the time. It can be pleasant all day, on the piste and off it, without tiring you unnecessarily.
Key specs: directional C2; almost mid-wide platform; about 1.5" setback depending on the generation; Aspen and Paulownia core; Magne-Traction; all-mountain / freeride / powder.

| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 153 cm | 113 cm | 25.7 cm | 8.2 m | 50.8-63.5 / 3.8 cm | 5.5 | from 40 kg |

The size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist, profile and effective edge length together tell how a board will work. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful; a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm the boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for a bigger foot, so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
