Lib Tech Legitimizer is a 2024/25 freestyle board that brings together two of Lib Tech's best-loved park boards: the lightness and playfulness of the Box Scratcher and the stable float and aggressive pop of the camber-based Box Knife.
The profile is camber with early rise toward the nose and tail. The camber gives pop and stable landings, while the early-rise ends are forgiving when the edge catches on a rail or box and make buttering easy. Flat-rise nose and tail and the beveled pill shape complete a true twin that rides the same in both directions.
At 154 the board has a flex of 5/10 - soft enough for rails, boxes and other features and for buttering, stiff enough for jumping. It has a sintered base, which is fast and holds up to impacts. The board is for freestyle riders like Brandon Reis, but also for anyone who is just starting to take their park riding up a level - it is not a board you will outgrow after one season.
It is not a traditional camber like the Off Ramp and not an Original Banana like the Box Scratcher - the Legitimizer sits right in the middle and, in our opinion, is one of the most sensible modern park boards from Lib Tech.
Technical highlights: true twin; camber with early rise; centered stance (no setback); flat nose and tail ends; beveled pill shape; OP+ construction; 75% Aspen / 25% Paulownia; eco sublimated sintered base; Magne-Traction; flex around 5 at 154; park / street / freestyle.

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and effective edge length together decide how a board performs. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
