LIB-TECH THEDA 153 2025: The Theda is a new women’s LIB board that lives up to the meaning of its name as a “Divine Gift”, known to be possessed by goddesses with strong spiritual power. No pressure though, the Theda is accessible to anyone, regardless of supreme power or spiritual affiliation. The LIB powers that be just perfected the perfect snowboard. An eye pleasing, resort ripping directional shape on our favorite carvy / floaty C2 hybrid contour. Built in our new strong, lightweight Magnesium POP construction, the Theda commands attention but it is both inspiring and dependable for progression to new levels of performance and fun. The easy entry nose smooths out any resort imperfections and floats like a dream on pow days.
Lib Tech Theda is a women's directional all-mountain board whose name means "divine gift". It arrived for 2024/25 and, in our view, sits between the light Glider and the serious Dynamiss - a board a woman can count on every day on the piste and progress with.
The profile is directional C2X: rocker between the feet for float and easy turn initiation, camber underfoot for pop and precise carving. The easy-entry nose smooths out the bumps of a chopped-up afternoon piste and floats in deep snow when it falls.
The construction is the new Magnesium POP - light and strong, with tri-axial fiberglass, Magnesium Techno Fiber Bands and carbon around an Aspen and Paulownia core. The base is sintered, fast and lively underfoot, and Magne-Traction holds on hardpack and ice.
Theda is for a rider with intermediate experience who wants to step up - carving, trees, deep snow days - and does not want a board she will outgrow after one season.
Technical highlights: women's directional; C2X; 1" setback; sidecut radius 8 m; Magnesium POP construction; Aspen and Paulownia core; tri-axial fiberglass + Magnesium Techno Fiber Bands + carbon; sintered base; Magne-Traction; flex around 6; all-mountain / resort / deep snow.
We carry the first generation 2024/25 in 144 and 153. We also have the Theda 2025/26 - same shape, profile and construction, in 147 and 150.

| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 144 cm | 106 cm | 24.8 cm | 8 m | 47-59.7 / 2.5 cm | 6 | from 35 kg |
| 153 cm | 112 cm | 25.2 cm | 8 m | 48.9-60.9 / 2.5 cm | 6 | from 45 kg |
Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and effective edge length together decide how a board performs. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
