Soft women's true twin* board with Easy Rise profile and Magne-Traction. For the first seasons and relaxed riding all over the mountain without fighting the edge.
Roxy Dawn is the entry to the Roxy women's range - a soft true twin* board (identical nose and tail, rides the same in both directions), designed by Mervin for a woman who is just starting out or simply wants relaxed riding without fighting the board.
The Easy Rise profile is flat between the feet with a mild rocker toward the nose and tail. The flat zone gives stability underfoot, and the raised ends stop the edge from catching after a mistake - exactly what prevents falls in the first days.
The board has a soft flex* (how soft or stiff the board is) of about 3/10 and turns with little effort. Magne-Traction, taken straight from Lib Tech and GNU, gives grip on hardpack and ice. The true twin shape makes riding switch* (riding with the other foot forward) feel natural when the time comes, and with an extruded base* (easier to maintain) the board does not ask for much care.
Dawn is the simpler and more affordable relative of the Lib Tech Glider - less technical, but with the same idea: an easy, forgiving board you can trust from day one. When your technique grows, the next step in Roxy is the XOXO or the Smoothie.
Technical highlights: women's true twin; Easy Rise (flat between the feet, rocker toward nose and tail); centered stance (no setback); Magne-Traction; Kind Hearted construction; FSC-certified wood core; extruded base; flex about 3/10; beginner / all-mountain* (for all mountain terrain); forgiving.

| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist, profile and the so-called effective edge* (the part of the edge that cuts the snow) together decide how a board performs - the table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at around 24-25 cm boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and W versions are for a bigger foot so that toes and heel do not drag in carving.
Not sure which size? Write to us or drop by the shop in Golo Bardo - we have been riding this stuff since 1997.
