TRS stands for Total Ripper Series and it is one of Lib Tech's long-running high-performance models.
Over the years the profile has evolved - from classic C2 generations to C3 in the newer versions - but the idea is always the same: a stiff, sporty board with a lot of pop for riding hard in both directions.
The shape has a true twin character, but in the current generations the factory stance may be set back slightly, about 0.5", so it is not an absolutely centered true twin.
The TRS is for snowboarders who ride equally confidently in both directions, like a duck stance with the feet turned out, speed and stability, and want a board for aggressive riding in any terrain.
Technical highlights: C3 in the current generations; true twin character; about 0.5" setback; HP construction; bamboo for energy transfer; magnesium/carbon; sintered base; flex approximately 5-7.
We carry the 2023/24 generation: HP construction with Org-Throttle bamboo plates and a Knife Cut sintered base. The Magnesium Techno Fiber Bands and the carbon in the TRS come from 2024/25.

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and the length of the effective edge together determine how a board rides. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match your boot: at around 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43, at 25-26 cm up to size 44-45, and the W versions are for a bigger foot, so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
