Max Warbington's pro model – an asymmetric twin with C2X for park, street and freestyle in deep snow. The latest generation of the series, with Max's artwork.
GNU Finest is Max Warbington's pro model - for seven years he has ridden it, developed it and drawn its artwork. For the 2025/26 generation GNU is sending it off with the video "Finest: The Final Chapter" - the last chapter of the series, and this gives the board a collector's charge.
This is an asymmetrical twin (Asym) with C2X: rocker between the feet for an easy, intuitive turn and camber zones underfoot for pop and grip. The heel side has a deeper sidecut radius - which is why the radius has two values - and both turns feel equal, even switch.
The Finest is made to add depth in the park and freestyle freedom in deep snow. Max rides street, park and natural obstacles with his crew Tre Squad, and the board is tuned for exactly that - a lively, springy flex, Magne-Traction for hardpack and a sintered base into which his artwork is also sublimated.
This is a board for a rider with intermediate and advanced experience who spends the day in the park and does not stop when it snows. In our view, last generations of a pro model like this rarely sell after a few years - they stay on the wall.
Technical highlights: Max Warbington; asymmetrical twin (Asym); C2X; centered stance (no setback); asymmetrical sidecut radius; Magne-Traction; G Lite 2 Aspen / Paulownia core; tri-axial / bi-axial fiberglass; Eco Sublimated sintered base; flex around 5.5-6.5; park / freestyle / all-mountain / deep snow.
We carry the 155W (26.2 cm waist, for a bigger boot) and the 159 (25.7 cm waist, flex 6.5).
On our blog: How to choose a snowboard: profile, flex, length and width
| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 155W | 114 cm | 26.2 cm | 8.1 / 7.8 m | 51.5-63.5 / 0 cm | 6 | from 60 kg |
| 159 cm | 118 cm | 25.7 cm | 8.3 / 8.0 m | 51.5-63.5 / 0 cm | 6.5 | from 70 kg |
Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and effective edge length together decide how a board performs. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
Not sure which size? Message us or stop by our shop in Golo Bardo, Sofia - we have been riding this stuff since 1997.
