A kids' package – a soft rocker board with bindings mounted and a radial sidecut that does not catch the edge. For the first days on snow; the size is chosen by the child's weight.
The Roxy Poppy Package is the first snowboard a child takes out on the snow - board and bindings in one box, assembled at the factory. Roxy boards of recent seasons come from Mervin, the people behind Lib Tech and GNU.
The rocker profile and a radial sidecut with no edge catching matter most in the first days. The rocker lifts the edges toward the nose and tail, the board doesn't dig into the snow on a mistake, and the child turns without falling on every attempt. The soft flex and the all-wood core make it light and lively, not a piece of timber to drag around.
In the box is the board with the bindings mounted. At 80, 90 and 100 cm these are the Poppy Speed Strap, size XS (US 12C-3), and the board has cap construction. At 110, 118 and 128 cm the bindings are classic, size S (US 2-7), and the construction is sandwich - with a sidewall along the whole edge.
The size is chosen by weight, not by age. Roxy gives from 20-35 kg for the 80 cm to 30-55 kg for the 128 cm and doesn't state an age - weight and boot size say more than years.
This is not a high-level youth machine like the DynaSword, but exactly the opposite - an honest first board for a child to fall in love with snowboarding before thinking about technique.
Technical highlights: rocker; true twin (identical nose and tail), centered stance (no setback); radial sidecut with no edge catching; all-wood core; cap construction (80/90/100) / sandwich construction (110/118/128); soft flex; bindings mounted in the box; first days / all-mountain.
Our version is the 2025/26 generation, size 90 cm: Poppy Speed Strap XS bindings (US 12C-3), cap construction, Roxy gives 20-40 kg for this size.
On the blog: How to choose a snowboard: profile, flex, length and width

| 90 cm | - | - | - | - | - | - |
For kids' boards, size is chosen by the child's weight and height - the table shows the minimum weight that Mervin gives. A shorter board is easier to control and the child progresses faster; a "grow into it" board is harder to ride and slows learning.
