Women's directional C2 board for the piste, off-piste and deep snow. Friendly flex, 1" setback and Magne-Traction - for a woman who already rides confidently and wants more than groomed snow.
GNU Frosting is a women's directional C2 board for the whole mountain - for a woman who already rides confidently and wants to get off the groomers without the board turning into work.
The C2 hybrid profile has rocker between the feet and camber zones toward the nose and tail. The rocker gives easy steering and lifts the nose in soft snow, while the camber brings back stability, carving and pop. Magne-Traction holds on hardpack and ice.
The shape is directional, with 1" setback and a very slight tapered outline - enough to float in deep snow, but not so much that it gets in the way on the piste. The board has a friendly flex, around 5-6, and does not tire you out over a full day.
In spirit it is close to the GNU Hyper - a calm, mature directional board, but softer and sized for lighter weights. It is not a park toy and not a learner board you will swap after a year. It is the board on which a woman discovers that the mountain is bigger than the piste.
Technical highlights: women's directional; C2 hybrid; 1" setback; slight tapered shape; Magne-Traction; flex around 5-6; all-mountain / deep snow / resort.
Ours is the 2024/25 generation - with a sintered base and artwork by Corinne Weidmann. The geometry and sizes are the same as in 2025/26.

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and effective edge length together decide how a board performs. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful, a longer one gives more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
