A women's directional C2 board for the piste, beside the piste and deep snow. A friendly flex, 1" setback and Magne-Traction – for a woman who already rides with confidence and wants more than the groomers.
GNU Frosting is a women's directional C2 board for the whole mountain - for a woman who already rides confidently and wants to get off the beaten track without the board turning into work.
The hybrid C2 profile has a rocker between the feet and camber zones toward the nose and tail. The rocker gives easy handling and makes the nose float in soft snow, while the camber brings back stability, carving and pop. Magne-Traction holds on hardpack and ice.
The shape is directional, with 1" setback and a very light tapered shape - enough to float in deep snow, but not so much that it gets in the way on the groomers. The board has a friendly flex, around 5-6, and doesn't tire you out all day.
In spirit it is close to the GNU Hyper - a calm, mature directional board, but softer and sized for lighter weight. It is not a park toy and not a learner board you will swap after a year. It is the board on which a woman discovers that the mountain is bigger than the run.
Technical highlights: women's directional; hybrid C2 profile; 1" setback; light tapered shape; Magne-Traction; flex around 5-6; all-mountain / deep snow / groomed terrain.
Our version is the 2025/26 generation - with an Eco Sublimated Co-Ex base and artwork by Naima Antolin. The geometry and sizes are the same as in 2024/25; the difference is in the base.

Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and the effective edge (the part of the edge that cuts into the snow) together decide how a board rides. The table shows the minimum rider weight Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful; a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should fit the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet, so toes and heel don't drag when carving.
