The Lib Tech T.Rice Pro is one of the absolute flagships of Lib Tech and the board that started the incredible series of Travis Rice models from Mervin.
It is a true twin for freestyle and all-mountain riding with C2, a centered stance (no setback), a clearly pronounced Magne-Traction and a very long effective edge relative to the overall length.
The effective edge is exactly one of the most important parameters when choosing a snowboard. Do not look only at the overall length. The relationship between effective edge, surface area, width, weight and profile shows much better how and where a board will work.
The T.Rice Pro is not a short and wide board, but thanks to its long effective edge it can in many cases be ridden a touch shorter without immediately losing stability and control.
This is one board for everything: park, piste, carving, powder, big mountain lines. It is also one of the best-selling Lib Tech models.
Key specs: Travis Rice; true twin; hybrid C2; centered stance (no setback); Magne-Traction; HP construction; extended Aspen and Paulownia core; Knife Cut sintered base; flex about 6-7.

| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 153 cm | 118.5 cm | 25.3 cm | 8 m | 51.5-63.5 / 0 cm | 6 | from 45 kg |
The size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist, profile and effective edge length together tell how a board will work. The table shows the lower weight limit that Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful; a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should match the boot: at about 24-25 cm the boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for a bigger foot, so that toes and heel do not drag when carving.
