A directional twin with camber and early rise for the resort – the successor of Pete Saari's Double Dip. Carving, tricks, riding switch and powder days with one board.
Lib Tech DPR is a project Pete Saari and the team developed for 10 years - everything learned from the Double Dip about sidecut, shape, profile and geometry, carried over into an entirely new directional freestyle board for the resort.
The Double Dip is a true twin, "directional in both directions", while the DPR is more grounded: a nose with early rise that forgives, starts the turn effortlessly and floats in deep snow, and a light camber that brings the board to life and puts pop in the tail. With a radial sidecut, mini Magne-Traction and an equally wide nose and tail, it is very friendly in the park and on the natural jumps along the run.
The idea is to squeeze the maximum out of your local resort every day - carving, progression in tricks, switch landings and deep snow when it falls. It has only about 0.5" setback, so riding switch is natural. The board is handmade at Mervin.
In our view this is a modern classic for an intermediate to advanced rider who wants one freestyle board for the whole season.
Technical highlights: Pete Saari; directional twin; camber with early rise; about 0.5" setback; radial sidecut; mini Magne-Traction; equal nose and tail widths; OP construction; flex around 5-6; groomed terrain / freestyle / all-mountain.

| Size | Contact length | Waist | Sidecut radius | Stance (min-max / setback) | Flex (1–10) | Rider weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 154 cm | 114 cm | 25.2 cm | 7.5 m | 49.5-60.96 / 1.3 cm | 5 | from 40 kg |
| 158 cm | 117.5 cm | 25.6 cm | 7.7 m | 51.5-63.5 / 1.3 cm | 6 | from 45 kg |
Size is not chosen by length alone. Weight, surface area, waist width, profile and the effective edge (the part of the edge that cuts into the snow) together decide how a board rides. The table shows the minimum rider weight Mervin gives for each size. A shorter board turns faster and is more playful; a longer one brings more stability and float. The waist should fit the boot: at about 24-25 cm, boots are usually up to size 42-43 (EU), at 25-26 cm up to 44-45, and the W versions are for bigger feet, so toes and heel don't drag in the snow when carving.
Not sure which size? Write to us or stop by our shop in Golo Bardo, Sofia - we have been riding this stuff since 1997.
